Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 24, 2026

This policy explains how independent developer onigoro ("the operator") handles data in connection with the platform API integrations (such as the YouTube Data API and TikTok's API) used to produce and distribute the video content series "Japan in 60" ("the Service").

1. Nature of the Service

The Service produces short video content featuring landmarks across Japan and distributes it on platforms such as YouTube and TikTok. Videos are posted through platform APIs from official accounts managed by the operator.

2. Information collected

The Service obtains access tokens and account identifiers required to use platform APIs such as the YouTube Data API and TikTok's API, through each platform's own authorization flow (e.g. OAuth). It does not currently collect personal information from any other third party, including viewers or general users.

3. Purpose of use

Information obtained is used solely to post video content, captions, and thumbnails to the YouTube channel(s) managed by the operator, to manage playlists on those channels, and to read aggregate performance analytics (such as views and retention) for those same channels. It is never provided or sold to third parties.

4. Storage and management

Access tokens and other credentials are stored in environments controlled by the operator (local environments or cloud environments under the operator's own contract) and managed so third parties cannot access them.

5. Google User Data and the YouTube API Services

The Service's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

The Service's use of information received from the YouTube API Services is additionally governed by the YouTube Terms of Service, and you can review the Google Privacy Policy for how Google itself handles data.

6. Changes to this policy

This policy may be changed without prior notice as the Service's features or specifications change. Changes take effect once posted on this page.
