What the Japan in 60 App Does
Purpose of the app: Japan in 60 is an application that produces short travel videos about Japan's landmarks and publishes them to its own official Japan in 60 YouTube channel. The app is used only by the operator of this website and channel; it is not offered to, and does not act on behalf of, any other users.
The Japan in 60 app uses the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API for the following purposes, on the operator's own channel only:
- Upload videos — publish newly produced 60-second landmark videos to the official Japan in 60 YouTube channel.
- Manage the channel's own content — set titles, descriptions, thumbnails, captions and playlists for the channel's own videos.
- Read the channel's analytics — read view counts and basic performance reports of the channel's own videos to plan future videos.
The app never accesses, modifies or collects data from any other user's YouTube account or Google account. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for details on how data is handled.
About the Video Series
Japan in 60 is a YouTube travel series about Japan's castles, shrines, temples and historic sites. It started with the country's best-known landmarks — Himeji Castle, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Senso-ji, Kinkaku-ji, Osaka Castle and the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove — and now travels region by region, from Tohoku in the north through the Kanto region around Tokyo.
Today's Shorts and Long episodes are guided by one narrator, Yukise Miyu, a kimono-clad guide who shares the story behind each place.
The Japan in 60 application uses the YouTube Data API, on behalf of its own operator only, to upload new videos, manage captions, thumbnails and playlists, and read basic performance analytics for the official Japan in 60 YouTube channel. It does not access or modify any other user's YouTube account.
